The thing about addictions is that they scale to fit your lifestyle until they kind of suddenly don’t. Degenerate gamblers are the addicts that make me the saddest. I worked at a casino for a while and lived in a gambling focused town. Seeing the way the casinos would take advantage of these people and then blame the addict for going too far was sickening. These places are designed to separate whales from money not for casual gaming no matter what the commercials say.
